An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team in the role of Senior Corporate Communications Manager to support the company’s global brand positioning in corporate and trade media.
This role can be based on a hybrid basis from their Edinburgh or Glasgow office with a minimum of two days per week spent in the office.
Reporting to the Director of Communications the successful candidate will manage their corporate communications and B2B strategies along with delivery of core campaign activity. Additionally, the role will require working closely with their speaker team and will own their speaker strategy for EMEA, Americas and APAC.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Manage all corporate and B2B trade PR activity
- Manage corporate and trade media relations to elevate their brand
- Build and maintain existing relationships with key media and influencers across corporate and trade verticals
- Build a strong internal network amongst their senior team and commercial leads
- Prepare and support their senior spokespeople through training and briefing and identify the most appropriate spokesperson to support on each specific piece of activity
- Track and measure corporate coverage, making data-led suggestions for improvements
- Work closely with their consumer communications, internal communications and brand teams to ensure consistency of their messaging
- Maintain their media site and corporate blog
- Handle reactive media enquiries swiftly and effectively
- Work closely with brand advocacy team to ensure consistency and appropriateness of messaging across external outputs
- Ensure their senior spokesperson time is used effectively – that they have a presence in the right global forums, at the right level, with support provided on messaging for that specific audience to deliver against their overall strategy
Key skills and experience required:
It is essential that you have previous experience working in a corporate and B2B communications role in the travel industry.
- You’ve got a head for data too – we’re looking for someone who can pull basic queries (or who is up for learning), look at a data set and create stories from these, as well as tracking and measuring corporate coverage, making data-led suggestions for improvement
- You can pitch to journalists with confidence and handle media / journalist pitching and inquiries, opportunities and press exposure. Create strategic plans to target titles / journalists over the short and medium term
- You’ve experience of product messaging and working with external partners
- You’re well versed in delivering media training and creating briefings for senior stakeholders
- You can distil key messages from across the business and use these to inform communication plans
- You actively monitor competitor and peer corporate brand communication messaging and approaches, and their comparative strengths and weaknesses.
This role offers an excellent competitive salary circa £65k plus a 10% bonus and private healthcare and an extensive menu of company benefits.
