Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a highly respected institutional investor to recruit a CFA-qualified Senior Investment Analyst based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and purpose-driven investment team supporting a range of investment portfolios.

In this role, you will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer, Investment Heads, and Portfolio Managers, contributing to the effective management of diversified investment portfolios. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality research, due diligence, and investment insights, while supporting governance and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on existing and potential investments, including analysis at both asset and macro strategy level.
  • Perform detailed due diligence, developing a clear understanding of the drivers of future returns, including Responsible Investment considerations.
  • Produce robust investment analysis and make clear, actionable recommendations to Portfolio Managers and Investment Groups.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (accounting, operations) and external providers to ensure accuracy and integrity of investment data.
  • Work closely with legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure investments are implemented in line with relevant regulatory frameworks and internal guidelines, including responsible investment policies, stewardship, and voting activities.
  • Prepare and deliver verbal and written reports to senior stakeholders, including investment forums and partner organisations.
  • Provide ongoing support to the investment, operations, accounting teams, and clients.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as an Investment Analyst or in a closely related role.
  • Experience within real assets is desirable.
  • Strong analytical capability with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to pass basic vetting checks.
