We are delighted to be supporting our longstanding client as they look to add a Senior Cost Controller to their team, on a permanent basis. As a Senior Cost Controller, you will be the project manager's key support and advisor in all finance related matters on the projects assigned. Your expertise in project cost control will be crucial, as you will be a part of both the finance and project teams to internally and externally report on financials for such project workscopes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Client invoicing, vendor invoice analysis and prepare monthly accruals/reports.
- Providing precise long-term forecasts for projects and completing various budgeting tasks, including reviewing and implementing as-sold budgets.
- Project accruals, controlling project hours and costs, and revenue recognition.
- Creating detailed variance analyses to explain deviations between actual figures and forecast or budget.
- Collaborating closely with budget owners, you will regularly review commitments and critically assess their forecasts.
- Calculating and planning the Position to Date (PTD/VOWD), Estimate To Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) for projects.
- Presenting the financial status of projects during our monthly Project Management Review (PMR) meetings.
