We are currently partnering with a fast-growing and highly ambitious organisation within the energy sector to appoint an Investment Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic commercial team, supporting investment decision-making across a diverse portfolio of onshore wind, solar and battery storage assets.

We are looking for a high calibre, analytically strong professional with experience in financial modelling, investment analysis and valuation within the energy, infrastructure or renewables sector. You will play a key role in supporting senior leadership with critical insights across both operational assets and development projects. You will work closely with finance, development, asset management and senior stakeholders. The role will provide exposure across the full asset lifecycle, including operational performance, development prioritisation, funding activity and portfolio strategy.

Your role will include:

  • Building, maintaining and reviewing financial models for operational assets, ensuring accuracy, robustness and readiness for audit.
  • Delivering cash flow forecasts, performance analysis and key KPI reporting for operational projects, working closely with finance and asset management teams.
  • Supporting appraisal and valuation of new investments, acquisitions and divestments using DCF analysis, IRR, NPV and sensitivity modelling.
  • Performing scenario analysis, downside cases and stress testing to support investment risk assessment and decision-making.
  • Assessing the financial impact of changes in key assumptions including capex, opex, revenue forecasts, financing structures and market conditions.

  • Demonstrable experience of around 2 years or more in investment analysis, financial modelling or portfolio analysis, ideally within energy, infrastructure or a related sector.
  • Strong financial modelling capability with experience building and maintaining complex models.
  • Experience in project finance, valuations, M&A or advisory work would be highly advantageous.
  • Good understanding of energy markets and project economics.
