Principal Network Engineer – Shape the Future of Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure

We are on the hunt for a Principal Network Engineer who thrives in dynamic environments, takes ownership of outcomes, and excels at building scalable, secure, and highly available systems.

You\’ll join a forward-thinking team embracing a hybrid multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises ecosystem. This is your opportunity to drive modernisation, steer architecture, and be a hands-on force across infrastructure, automation, observability, and security.

What You\’ll Do

  • Architect and build modern hosting environments from the ground up, with a focus on observability, security, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Lead infrastructure design & technical direction , mentoring and guiding junior engineers along the way.
  • Take ownership of network operations , including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, VPN, compute, and storage.
  • Support and transform legacy infrastructure , migrating systems to a cloud-first, automation-driven model.
  • Partner with DevOps, TechOps, InfoSec, and Engineering teams to ensure systems are resilient, scalable, and secure .
  • Play a key role in disaster recovery planning , capacity management , and incident response .
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies that drive business value and operational efficiency .

What You Bring

  • 10+ years in enterprise-level system/network design and support .
  • Deep expertise in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments.
  • Proven experience with:
  • Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
  • Juniper switching and routing
  • VXLAN , EVPN , OSPF , BGP
  • Enterprise Wi-Fi , NAC, VPNs, and RADIUS/LDAP auth
  • Linux/Windows , Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Terraform), and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a bias for action , always looking to improve performance, security, and resilience.

Bonus Points

  • Certifications: PCNSE, JNCIP/JNCIE, AWS/Azure certs, CCSP, ITIL
  • Experience with monitoring, forensic investigation tools, and configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with agile or DevSecOps environments
