A well-established environmental consultancy with a team of around 30 experienced staff is looking for an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to join its growing team. The company delivers expert ecological support across renewables, utilities, infrastructure, and the built environment, with projects spanning wind farms, solar installations, utility corridors, and housing developments. This is a field-based role best suited to someone located in or near Perth. You will travel regularly across the Central Belt, ensuring ecological compliance and advising contractors and clients on best practices for habitat protection and species mitigation.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct ecological supervision and monitoring on active construction sites
- Provide practical, site-specific guidance to contractors and clients
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, planning conditions, and mitigation protocols
- Record ecological observations and incidents, and produce clear, timely reports
- Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and internal teams
