Eden Scott’s client is seeking a dedicated Paraplanner / Financial Planning Specialist to support their dynamic team in Edinburgh. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to their clients\’ financial well-being while advancing your career in a supportive environment.

As a Paraplanner / Financial Planning Specialist you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver accurate, comprehensive annual reviews within agreed timelines.
  • Prepare and issue annual financial reviews using tools such as FE Analytics.
  • Complete drawdown reviews and provide technical input on tax and pension matters.
  • Accurately process client transactions, including fund switches, withdrawals, and contributions.
  • Maintain client records and data across platforms, including MoneyInfo.
  • Raise annual and quarterly fees and manage documentation for adviser submissions.
  • Submit new business and input data into our back-office system (Intelliflo).
  • Troubleshoot system issues and support ongoing service case management.
  • Assist with financial plan preparation and contribute to process improvements.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to advisers and colleagues.
  • Prepare and issue compliant documentation, such as recommendation reports and deeds of assignment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in a technical or administrative financial services role, ideally within financial planning or investment.
  • Hands-on experience in client account management and financial transactions.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as FE Analytics, Voyant, and MoneyInfo.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, pensions, investments, and related products.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory standards and compliance in documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software tools.
  • Effective multitasking with good organisational and time-management capabilities.
  • Collaborative team player who is adaptable and solution-oriented.
