Our client is a reputable and professional firm who have a client base spanning across Scotland with more than one office. They require an experienced Paraplanner to work from one of their offices due to increasing business via a steady streams of enquiries, referrals for their advisers plus professional connections along with recruiting another adviser to the team.
This is a genuinely rare role and the first time having recruited for such a position mainly due to their low staff turnover.
The role itself will be heavily involed with the Financial Planners β with the option to and now encouraged to be involved in client meetings. They can be flexible in relation to the person profile but their ideal would be to act as the go to person in the technical team, able to add value from day one. The new Paraplanner would act as an ambassador for the Financial Advisers (Chartered) should they not be available along with pick up ad hoc enqueries for clients β so a capable and mature nature is required.
As a Paraplanner you would also be involved in creating suitability reports, \βreasons why\β letters and ensuring all work is carried out inline with Compliance and RDR requirements as expected. You could also be involved in training, mentoring less experienced administrators if desired.
Ideally the successful individual will be diploma qualified, experienced in whole of market IFA work (if not a provider), currently working as a Paraplanner or Senior administrator wanting to make a step up.
However due to the nature of the business and how imperative it is that there is a \βteam fit\β, there is a degree of flexibility for the right individual. Pension exams eg AF7, Intelligent Office experience and any knowledge of Standard Life, AJ Bell, Old Mutual platforms would be of benefit but not pre-requisite.
They are authorised in DB transfers and are finding increasing workloads in pensions but a strong knowledge of Pensions and Investments is needed fundamentally.
In return they are offering an attractive package and salary which our client can accomodate needs for the successful applicant. This is an imperative recruit and as the first time recruiting for several years they are not set on budgets.
Part time working is available if needed and if there is a commute from Edinburgh, the option to work from there a couple of days a week.
