Fully remote (UK based - must have permanent eligibility to work in the UK). Salary £45,000-50,000 + bonus.

Our client, a global payments fintech, is building a modern Technical Operations function and looking for a hands-on Network Engineer who wants real ownership and influence from the ground up. You’ll help design, implement, and operate a hybrid multi-cloud and on-prem environment, working closely with TechOps, DevOps, and InfoSec peers. Our focus is on high availability, security, observability, and automation, delivered by small, empowered teams who care about outcomes over process.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and support enterprise networking (firewalls, routing, switching, load balancers, cloud networking)
  • Own upgrades, lifecycle management, capacity, and major incidents/changes
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, and Architecture to deliver resilient platforms
  • Support legacy and newly acquired environments

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years’ enterprise network engineering experience
  • Strong Palo Alto expertise (essential)
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2–7 networking, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, BGP, VLANs
  • Automation / IaC experience (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure preferred)
  • Curious, self-starting, and comfortable owning work end to end
