Eden Scott’s client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Officer to join their team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of UK mortgage regulations and a passion for ensuring compliance across all aspects of mortgage operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough compliance reviews of mortgage applications and supporting documentation
- Ensure all processes align with FCA regulations and internal compliance policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance frameworks and controls
- Support internal audits and respond to regulatory queries
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to compliance reporting
- Collaborate with operational teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mortgage compliance or a similar regulatory role within financial services
- CEMAP Qualified
- Strong working knowledge of UK mortgage regulations and FCA guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with compliance systems and reporting tools is an advantage
