Our global chemical manufacturing client is looking for an experienced and high performing Process Operator to join their successful process plant and test centre. The Process Operator will ensure the safe operation of the manufacturing plant and equipment as directed by their Supervisor or Management and carry out assigned tasks in compliance with Safety and Environmental Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and with due regard for the safety of all co-workers.
The role:
- Operate all plant and associated equipment to achieve the required production in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and the production plan.
- Carry out accurate shift reporting and data management using both paper and computer-based systems.
- Promptly inform their Supervisor of any irregularities in plant performance or control.
- Implement systems or procedures as defined by Supervisors or Management for the safe operation of plant and equipment.
- Ensure the quality of finished product is satisfactory by adequate application of process control and correct packaging requirements.
- Understand and apply as appropriate the ISO9002 Quality Assurance System.
- Undertake routine checks on plant and equipment and investigate / repair faults as directed by procedures or Supervisor.
- Undertake general manufacture / operations tasks as directed by their Supervisor.
- Suggest improvements to plant and procedures.
