Excellent opportunity for an IT Administrator to join a global manufacturing organisation providing 1st and 2nd line support on an initial 6-month contract – £150 per day (INSIDE IR35).

Are you a dynamic, hands-on IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys variety in your day-to-day work? To join our UK Services division, based in East Kilbride, with occasional travel to another central Scotland site.

In this role, you will be a key part of their UK IT Service Desk, supporting over circa 300 users locally and assisting with remote support for an additional 60 users in Asia. You will provide 1st line help desk support, manage hardware and software rollouts, troubleshoot application and hardware issues, and contribute to infrastructure and modernisation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support across desktop, laptop, server, and printer systems
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 environments
  • Perform patching and support for various business applications
  • Manage IT peripherals and printer systems across multiple UK sites
  • Register and manage change requests and trouble tickets
  • Participate in IT projects focused on system modernisation

What You Will Bring

  • Degree in an IT-related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and general IT infrastructure
  • Track record of troubleshooting issues
  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills
  • Ability to think outside the box, prioritise effectively, and take ownership of issues

Bonus experience

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing organisation

  • Hours: 8am – 4pm (with occasional out-of-hours work)
  • Location: East Kilbride (with travel to another central Scotland site)
  • Requirements: Clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
