Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a leading investment firm to recruit an Investment Data Analyst to join its Investment Operations function. This role is Hybrid 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. This is an excellent opportunity for a data driven individual to play a central role in enhancing data capabilities, supporting operational processes, and enabling data led decision making across a dynamic investment environment.
Sitting within the Investment Operations team, this position offers a unique blend of operational responsibility and data development. You will be instrumental in delivering key operational activities while helping to build and embed robust data, reporting, and analytics capabilities across the business. A key focus of the role is the development and maintenance of management information (MI) and dashboards, leveraging data from a modern Investment Data Platform. You will contribute to improving data quality, increasing automation, and driving more efficient processes, working collaboratively across front, middle, and back-office functions. Training, mentoring, and support towards relevant professional qualifications will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse client, operational, and business data to support Investment Operations processes
- Develop and maintain firm-wide MI reporting and dashboards
- Build Power BI dashboards and utilise Python to automate manual processes and enhance data efficiency
- Deliver key operational processes, including reconciliations, corporate actions, regulatory reporting, and client reporting
- Support the smooth running of front and middle office systems
- Drive improvements in data usage, automation, and operational efficiency
- Contribute to building a strong data-driven culture across the organisation
- Participate in project work, including regulatory, strategic, and operational improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience – Essential
- Previous experience in Financial Services in operations or data
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable approach
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of financial markets and investment operations
- Knowledge of data structures and databases
