Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate UK domestic and international road freight shipments.
- Manage daily communication with customers, hauliers, subcontractors, and drivers.
- Arrange and monitor transport bookings and operational activities.
- Provide transport quotations and cost-effective delivery solutions.
- Handle transport documentation and customs-related administration where required.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational challenges proactively.
- Optimise load planning, routing, and operational profitability.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Support business growth through exceptional service delivery and commercial awareness.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within road freight forwarding or transport operations.
- Experience managing UK and European road transport movements
- Strong operational knowledge with a commercial mindset.
- Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of customs procedures and post-Brexit transport requirements would be advantageous.
