Head of Network and Infrastructure

IT & Infrastructure Manager We are seeking a technically strong and strategically minded IT & Infrastructure Manager to lead my client\’s core IT operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on the design, delivery, and optimisation of secure, scalable, and resilient network and infrastructure systems, managing a small team. You will be responsible for the management of Linux-based servers, network architecture, virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware/ProxMox), and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS). Security, compliance, and performance will be central to everything you do, along with leading and developing a skilled in-house team. Architect and manage high-availability infrastructure across Linux environments. Oversee networking (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs), virtualisation, and cloud platforms. Drive infrastructure security, patching, disaster recovery, and monitoring. Lead and mentor a team, manage vendors, and deliver technical projects. Proven experience in infrastructure and Linux server management. Strong networking expertise and hands-on technical troubleshooting. Experience leading teams and delivering projects in complex environments. Degree in IT or related field; certifications in cloud, networking, or security.
