Job Overview
Eden Scott is recruiting for a Governance and Operations Officer for our Edinburgh city centre based client.
The client plays a pivotal role in Scotland's economic growth and regeneration initiatives.
This role supports activities ranging from programmes delivering for businesses and communities to internal processes focused on governance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate regular Board and Sub-Committee meetings, ensuring they are purposeful, deliver accountability and are interconnected.
- Act as an integrator, providing an authoritative view of activities and advising stakeholders and partners on prioritisation.
- Develop and maintain a forward view of governance meetings, working closely with the PMO, Sub‑Committee Chairs and the Chief Executive to design agendas and decisions.
- Facilitate agenda items and be the go‑to person on activities across the breadth of work.
- Record meeting minutes and agreed actions, maintaining an actions log to sustain momentum and accountability.
- Manage an operational forward view capturing key activities, future requirements and delivery against milestones.
- Track and report on wide dependencies and risks with the Accountable Body; support Directors with strategic planning and provide ad‑hoc assistance as required.
- Provide oversight across operations to support alignment of activities and horizontal integration.
- Serve as the main contact for partners seeking information on activities and processes.
- Support the CEO in responding to Freedom of Information enquiries or similar information requests.
- Support FGF implementation of robust data security measures, protecting sensitive information from unauthorised access, disclosure or misuse.
- Work closely with IT to establish procedures, deploy access controls and other security technologies to safeguard data assets.
