You will play a critical role in leading a team of Infrastructure Engineers across the UK, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous improvement across core infrastructure services.

Working alongside an Infrastructure Manager and another Team Leader, you will help lead a team of circa 14 engineers across Glasgow and London, ranging from Junior Engineers through to Senior Infrastructure Specialists. You will be responsible for ensuring workloads are effectively prioritised, service levels are achieved, operational processes are followed, and your team continues to develop and thrive.

This role is ideal for a people-focused technology leader who enjoys balancing operational delivery, stakeholder engagement, service improvement and team development.

Key focus of the role:

  • Lead and develop a team of Infrastructure Engineers, providing coaching, performance management and career development.
  • Manage team workload and priorities, ensuring BAU activities, projects and Jira backlogs are effectively resourced and delivered.
  • Drive service excellence by monitoring performance against SLAs/KPIs and continually improving service quality.
  • Oversee operational and change processes, ensuring compliance, minimising risk and maintaining service stability.
  • Act as a key stakeholder contact and escalation point, building strong relationships across the business and IT teams.
  • Promote Agile working and continuous improvement, enhancing team performance, efficiency and customer experience.

Your background:

We are looking for a strong people manager with a background in Infrastructure, Service Delivery, IT Support or Deskside Services, who can motivate teams and drive outstanding service outcomes. You will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience leading technical teams within an enterprise environment
  • Strong people management and coaching capability
  • Experience managing operational support teams and service delivery functions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A track record of managing escalations through to successful resolution
  • Experience working with ITIL-aligned support processes and change management
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and continuous improvement practices
  • Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps or similar tooling
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • A calm, proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience working in global organisations and across multiple time zones would be highly advantageous.

Hybrid working environment:

  • Opportunity to lead a talented, established Infrastructure team
  • Exposure to a complex global technology estate
  • High-profile role with significant stakeholder interaction
  • Collaborative and supportive leadership team
  • Strong focus on professional development and career progression

If you are an experienced Infrastructure Team Leader, Service Delivery Team Lead, Technical Support Manager, or IT Operations Leader who thrives on developing people, improving services and driving operational excellence, please get in touch.
