Job Description
Eden Scott's client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fund Accountant to join their Middle Office team in Edinburgh. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment supporting a portfolio of investment funds, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for multiple investment funds.
- Produce financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, up to trial balance stage.
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, investment portfolios, and other key ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Liaise with auditors, fund managers, and other stakeholders to provide financial information and resolve queries.
- Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and regulatory filings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fund Accountant within financial services.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and fund structures.
- Proficiency in producing accurate reports up to trial balance.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience with accounting or fund administration systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
