Eden Scott is delighted to be supporting a well-established international logistics organisation in the search for an experienced Road Freight Forwarder to join their Aberdeen team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded freight professional to take ownership of domestic and international road freight operations while helping drive the growth of a developing road freight function within a successful global business.
Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate UK domestic and international road freight shipments.
Manage daily communication with customers, hauliers, subcontractors, and drivers.
Arrange and monitor transport bookings and operational activities.
Provide transport quotations and cost-effective delivery solutions.
Handle transport documentation and customs-related administration where required.
Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational challenges proactively.
Optimise load planning, routing, and operational profitability.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Support business growth through exceptional service delivery and commercial awareness.
Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience within road freight forwarding or transport operations.
Experience managing UK and European road transport movements Strong operational knowledge with a commercial mindset.
Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS).
Knowledge of customs procedures and post-Brexit transport requirements would be advantageous.
Organised, proactive, customer-focused, and capable of working autonomously.
