Eden Scott Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting a leading organisation in their search for an experienced Finance Officer for their busy and successful Finance team based in Clydebank.

This is a busy role within the client reporting team where you will collate and deliver financial information. The role is very much focussed on reporting in a commercial finance function. You will be required to work independently but as part of a team and this role would suit someone who can demonstrate initiative and a desire to learn.

Duties

  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Assessing funding requirements
  • Analysis of budget variance and liaison with budget holders on this.
  • Query handling and resolution
  • Balance sheet reconciliations at month end
  • Processing of bank payments and reconciliations.
  • Maintaining open purchase orders and accruals.
  • Other general ad hoc duties for clients and management.

What you’ll need

  • You will be degree qualified with 2 years of experience working in a finance function beyond financial administration and of processing general ledger transactions, prepayments, accruals and journal postings.
  • Very good time management skills in order to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with financial reporting software.
  • Experience preparing accounts to trial balance

Work Pattern

This is a full time role working on site in Clydebank 35 hours per week. Hybrid working is available once a probation period has been completed.
