Our client, who are based in Fife, and are a global leader in flow control solutions, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance activities as part of an established site-based maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, circuit diagrams / schematics and O&M manuals.
  • A strong electrical fault-finding capability in reactive maintenance.
  • A great attention to detail carrying out planned maintenance activities.
  • A strong team working ethic with a flexible working approach.
  • Experience working with 415V Motors and auxiliary control equipment/systems.
  • Experience working with PLCs, star/delta startups & variable speed drives (VSD).
  • Assist with the development of apprentice worker(s).
  • Help mechanical fitters or other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Time served electrician, qualified to BS 7671 IEE Regulations 18th Edition.
  • Demonstrating previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • A full UK driving License is essential.
  • Training and competency with regards to the safe isolation of electrical and mechanical equipment essential.
  • Training and qualifications related to LOLER, PUWER and DSEAR regulations an advantage.
  • 11kv High Voltage competency desirable but not essential.
  • Good communicator with the ability to effectively present information in written and verbal format.
  • Ability to work at height and in confined spaces - Physically demanding role.
