Our client, who are based in Fife, and are a global leader in flow control solutions, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance activities as part of an established site-based maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, circuit diagrams / schematics and O&M manuals.
- A strong electrical fault-finding capability in reactive maintenance.
- A great attention to detail carrying out planned maintenance activities.
- A strong team working ethic with a flexible working approach.
- Experience working with 415V Motors and auxiliary control equipment/systems.
- Experience working with PLCs, star/delta startups & variable speed drives (VSD).
- Assist with the development of apprentice worker(s).
- Help mechanical fitters or other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Time served electrician, qualified to BS 7671 IEE Regulations 18th Edition.
- Demonstrating previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- A full UK driving License is essential.
- Training and competency with regards to the safe isolation of electrical and mechanical equipment essential.
- Training and qualifications related to LOLER, PUWER and DSEAR regulations an advantage.
- 11kv High Voltage competency desirable but not essential.
- Good communicator with the ability to effectively present information in written and verbal format.
- Ability to work at height and in confined spaces - Physically demanding role.
