Overview

Join a leading environmental consultancy working at the forefront of renewable energy, utilities, and residential development. We’re looking for a skilled Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to support a growing portfolio of projects across Scotland’s Central Belt.

This is a field-based role, ideally based in or near Perth, with regular travel to wind, solar, utility, and housing sites. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring ecological compliance on active construction sites, advising contractors and clients, and safeguarding habitats and protected species.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-site ecological supervision and monitoring for construction projects
  • Provide clear, practical ecological advice to site teams and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, planning conditions, and mitigation measures
  • Record and report ecological observations, incidents, and recommendations
  • Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal teams

About You

  • Several years of experience in a similar ECoW or ecological monitoring role
  • Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological mitigation practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently in dynamic site environments
  • Full, clean UK driving licence is essential
