An award winning Consultancy has a unique opportunity for a Qualified Pensions Actuary to join their team within a consultative role working from either Glasgow or Edinburgh. The company has recently grown, won new business and obtained new projects. As such they require an individual to work at a senior level, to provide a high quality actuarial service to their clients within their private sector pensions team.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality actuarial service to private sector pensions clients.
- Focus on technical aspects while building relationships with key decision makers.
- Account manage and deliver service to clients.
- Drive proactive business growth and mentor less experienced team members.
- Participate in the preparation of technical papers for internal and external publications.
- Develop new propositions and services for the firm.
- Lead marketing and new business activity for the company.
Qualifications
- Fellow member of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries, or equivalent actuarial qualification.
- Solid technical pensions background covering joined up investment, actuarial advice and valuations within the private/public sector.
- Experience with bulk transfers and knowledge of employee benefits issues.
