An established, employee-owned environmental consultancy (300+ staff) is expanding its Scotland ecology team. This role offers the opportunity to lead diverse projects across renewable energy, infrastructure, and large-scale habitat restoration. Lead ecological surveys and field programmes across varied habitats Manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and client relationships Support and mentor junior ecologists Collaborate with planning, landscape, GIS, heritage, and environmental teams Projects Electricity transmission and distribution networks Biodiversity, rewilding, and landscape restoration projects Local authority planning and ecological strategy work Strong knowledge of UK ecology, survey methods, and legislation Confident in project management and client engagement Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel Strong knowledge of UK ecology, survey methods, and legislation Confident in project management and client engagement Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel Experience in renewable energy projects Pay range and compensation package £40,000–£47,000 | Employee ownership bonus (up to £3,600 tax-free) | 25 days’ leave + public holidays (buy/sell options) | Life assurance (4× salary) | Income protection | Annual salary review | Paid volunteering day | Working pattern: Hybrid (minimum 2 days office-based), flexible full-time hours (37.5/week).
