Eden Scott is working on behalf of a valued client to recruit a Lending Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lending professional to join a busy, high-performing team, supporting the end-to-end administration of lending facilities across a diverse portfolio. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in lending administration or credit operations, who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident managing multiple transactions in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer a high volume of lending transactions from sanction through to drawdown.
- Prepare, review, and complete facility agreements and security documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all lending activity is processed in line with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and service level standards.
- Liaise with relationship managers, internal teams, and external legal advisers to ensure timely completion of transactions.
- Proactively manage transaction pipelines, identifying and resolving issues to avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across banking systems and documentation repositories.
- Support the ongoing administration of lending facilities, including amendments, renewals, and post-completion activities.
- Contribute to team effectiveness by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in lending administration, loan processing, or credit operations within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of loan and security documentation, including the process for perfecting security (England & Wales and/or Scotland).
- Working knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including CCA and MCOB.
- Proven ability to manage multiple lending cases simultaneously with strong organisational skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across stakeholders.
- Good understanding of banking systems, processes, and controls.
- Confident IT user with strong systems and data management capability.
