Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a highly reputable legal firm in Edinburgh as we recruit x2 experienced Legal PAs to join their busy, fast-paced team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, organised PA who enjoys supporting fee-earners and keeping operations running smoothly. These roles offer excellent variety, hybrid working, and the chance to be part of a respected and collaborative legal environment.
The Role
As Legal PA, you will provide high-quality administrative, secretarial and organisational support to fee-earners. Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing and formatting correspondence, legal documents and presentations using Word, Excel, Adobe/PDF and PowerPoint
- Managing client and matter opening/closing processes, including conflict checks, letters of engagement and liaison with Finance and AML teams
- Diary management, meeting coordination, room bookings, catering and IT support arrangements
- Inbox management for partners and fee-earners, including email organisation and file storage
- Supporting team meetings — managing attendance, technology, note-taking and follow-up actions
- Assisting with billing cycles, matter reviews, invoice production, client fee portals and purchase order queries
- Handling filing, scanning, photocopying, binding and general document management
- Coordinating travel, accommodation, itineraries and expenses
- Maintaining accurate client and contact information across internal systems
- Managing paper and digital storage, indexing and off-site archiving
- Liaising with internal teams including Finance, Facilities, Reception, IT, Marketing and Communications
- Providing support to the wider PA group across other teams and offices when required
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous PA or Executive Assistant experience
Desirable:
- Experience within the legal sector
Technical Skills & Attributes
- Ability to produce and amend large documents accurately
- Strong initiative and confidence in gathering information to complete tasks
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to identify issues and seek guidance when needed
