Eden Scott are pleased to be supporting their Renewable Energy client with the appointment of a Document Controller. This position is offered as a day rate contract role with a duration of 12 months. Our client requires someone to work with them 4 days per week, 3 of which would be in their Edinburgh City Centre office.
As Document Controller responsibilities include:
- Configuration, Implementation, administration and Management of the electronic Document and Data Management Systems (EDMS) E.g Viewpoint for Projects / SharePoint;
- Implementation of EDMS Security and Permissions in accordance with appropriate approvals;
- Ensuring that all configurations are tested, efficient, effective, and sufficiently flexible to adapt to a growing organisation;
- Facilitate and manage the EDMS access and training of internal and external personnel to ensure competency and provide on-going user support;
- Upload of a high volume of project documents and data ensuring they meet requirements;
- Enforce controlled processes and practices for the creation, review, modification, issuance, distribution and accessibility of internal and external documents;
- Providing quality assurance to ensure that documents, data, and records are managed to satisfy site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company and local directives, procedures, and safety rules.
Requirements:
- 5 years + previous experience in a document control, quality control or compliance position
- Proven experience working on Engineering or Construction Projects
- Experience with implementation, development and maintenance of Information and Document Management systems (Viewpoint for Projects and SharePoint)
- Document Control Related qualification
- Able to work from their Edinburgh office 3 days per week.
