Eden Scott’s client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AML/CDD/EDD Analyst to join their Corporate Onboarding team in Edinburgh. This role is critical in ensuring the firm meets its regulatory obligations under UK AML legislation and FCA guidelines, while maintaining the highest standards of client due diligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on new and existing corporate clients, including complex structures and high-risk entities.
- Perform Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks in line with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Review and verify documentation including corporate structures, source of funds, and beneficial ownership.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients to gather required information and resolve queries.
- Monitor ongoing client relationships for changes in risk profile and ensure timely updates to records.
- Escalate suspicious activity and support the preparation of SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports) where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all due diligence activities.
- Support internal audits and regulatory reviews as required.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in AML/CDD/EDD within financial services, legal, or wealth management sectors.
- Strong understanding of UK AML regulations, FCA guidelines, and corporate structures.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
