Our client, an award winning Pensions Consultancy have a unique opportunity for a Qualified Actuary to join their team within a Consultative role in their central office within Glasgow. The company have recently grown, won new business and obtain new Projects. As such, require an individual to work at a senior level, to provide a high quality actuarial service to their clients
This is a diverse role; both focussing on technical aspects along with relationship building with key decision makers, account management to deliver service to clients, proactive business growth along with mentoring less experienced members of the team. The role shall also include participating in the preparation of technical papers for internal and external publications and the development of new propositions and service. You would also have the opportunity to be Pro-active in the marketing and new business activity for the firm.
A pre requisite for the role is to be a Fellow member of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent actuarial qualifications).
As a Consulting Actuary, you will have a solid technical pensions background – covering joined up investment and actuarial advice and valuations within either/both the private/public sector. Some experience of bulk transfers, an understanding of employee benefits issues to help your clients and knowing actions to take would also be advantageous.
