Eden Scott's client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Client Onboarding & Transitions Specialist to join their Edinburgh-based team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a key role within their investment operations team, acting as the main point of contact for client onboarding and transition activity across our investment products and services, including both mandate and pooled fund clients.

Hybrid working 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the lead coordinator for operational onboarding and transition management for new and existing clients, ensuring smooth execution in collaboration with investment, operations, legal, compliance, and distribution teams.
  • Manage all aspects of client transitions, including onboarding, changes, and terminations, in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end process for investment management agreements (IMAs), distribution agreements, platform agreements, rebate agreements, and terms of business.
  • Conduct client due diligence, including KYC, documentation verification, and risk assessment.
  • Maintain accurate records of onboarding and transition processes, ensuring all documentation and process checklists are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Organise and coordinate regular change forums with stakeholders across the EMEA region.
  • Take initiative to identify process improvements and support the enhancement of operational efficiency.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure internal practices remain compliant and up to date.
  • Manage comfort letter requests and associated client-side documentation in accordance with firm-wide processes.
About You:
  • Experience in client onboarding, transitions, or investment operations within financial services is essential.
  • Strong understanding of investment management products, operational processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple business functions.
  • Proficiency with workflow and process management tools.
