Eden Scott Accountancy & Finance Division are delighted to be supporting a well-regarded organisation in Fife as they seek to appoint a Project Accountant on a full-time, permanent, and hybrid basis. This is a hands-on role partnering with Project Management and key stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely financial insights that drive operational and strategic decisions.
You will take ownership of project cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and financial standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, monitor, and report on project costs in line with site and corporate requirements
- Support project managers with financial reporting, monthly reviews, and forecasting
- Analyse and communicate cost variances in an operational context
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to manage inventory and purchasing
- Contribute to accounts receivable, cash flow forecasting, and revenue tracking
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support SOX compliance
- Champion process improvement and contribute to finance transformation initiatives
- Uphold safety and environmental standards across all activities
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
- Strong communicator with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience in project or operational finance within industry
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
- Familiarity with Lean principles and SOX compliance is desirable
