About the Company – This is an exciting and key role within our Consultancy Client's National Development & Infrastructure Planning Team, where you will be part of a team of planning experts, delivering on an exciting range of planning applications including residential, mixed-use developments, data centres, airports, retail, logistics and major infrastructure projects. You will be helping to grow and develop business and, provide mentorship to junior planners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing new customer relationships and maintaining existing business
- Directing and mentoring junior planners
- Providing input into business plans and Chair Planning Meetings, influencing debate and contributing to discussion on operational matters
- Preparing fee proposals and providing input into tender submissions
- Preparing representations to Local Plan consultations, appearing at Local Plan Examinations and assisting with appeal co-ordination and statements of case
- Presiding over small/medium & large projects including coordinating team members, project finances, overseeing solutions in line with the customer's expectations and ensuring delivery is on time
The ideal candidate for this role will be / have:
- MRTPI or qualified in another relevant discipline
- Experienced in large energy and infrastructure projects, including those requiring Environmental Impact Assessment, and those relating to Developments of National Significance and Development Control Orders
- Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute and experience of delivering consultancy to a range of customers
- A demonstrable record of winning sustainable and commercially viable projects
- Good financial and project management experience is essential
