Are you an experienced Unix Application Support Engineer looking for a role where your expertise truly matters? This is an excellent opportunity to join our banking client’s Application Operations team, supporting critical banking applications across Payments, Treasury, Finance, Security & Data.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert application support – Diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring stability and reliability.
  • Manage incidents & changes – Work within ITIL frameworks to maintain smooth operations.
  • Support critical projects – Contribute to application upgrades, security improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Ensure resilience & compliance – Identify and mitigate risks, keeping applications secure and up to date.
  • Engage with stakeholders – Collaborate with Project Managers, Incident Managers, and Technical Specialists.
  • On-Call & Out-of-Hours Support – After training, you’ll participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (additional compensation applies).

What You Bring

  • Similar experience as a Unix-based Application Support with experience in technologies like WebSphere, MQ, TWS, Connect Direct, DataPower, DataStage, SAP Data Services, or Pega.
  • Strong understanding of batch processing, cloud-based application support, and banking operations.
  • ITIL knowledge, especially incident and change management.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
