Are you passionate about delivering exceptional client service and working in a collaborative, approachable environment? We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Accounting and Business Solutions Team in Dundee.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll play a key role in supporting managers and partners to deliver high-quality accountancy services. This includes preparing financial accounts, management reports, and bookkeeping/VAT services for a diverse range of clients.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare financial statements for limited companies (FRS 105 & FRS 102), partnerships, and LLPs
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts for owner-managed businesses
- Prepare charity accounts and ensure compliance with Charities SORP
- Conduct independent examinations of charity financial statements
- Collaborate with tax and payroll teams for efficient service delivery
- Build strong client relationships and handle queries confidently
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- AAT qualified or part-qualified CA/ACCA, or qualified by experience
- Minimum 18 months' experience in a professional accounting practice
- Strong numerical and data analysis skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (CCH, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
