Our client is currently seeking a Stores & Logistics Operative to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on role supporting warehouse and logistics activities within a busy operational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day stores operations, material movements and general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
- Operating forklift trucks
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Organising and storing stock within warehouse and yard areas
- Carrying out deliveries and collections as required
- Maintaining accurate stock levels and inventory records
- Supporting general warehouse and logistics activities
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, logistics or materials handling environment
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to workload and changing priorities
