Head Housekeeper in Midlothian

Eden Scott is delighted to be working with Penicuik Estate , a stunning 7,000-acre estate in Midlothian, cared for by the same family since 1654 and home to one of Scotland's most original designed landscapes. With a recent move into luxury hospitality, they are welcoming guests to Penicuik House, its cottages and houses, and its event spaces with the ambition to become one of Scotland's most remarkable estate destinations, a place guests travel the world to experience. They have now created a new role, that of Head Housekeeper , they are seeking an individual who takes immense pride in creating immaculate spaces and memorable guest experiences. Someone who understands that in luxury hospitality, every detail matters. You'll lead housekeeping across the estate, ensuring every property and event space is presented to the highest possible standard. Working closely with their hospitality team and cleaning partners, you'll help build and develop a best-in-class housekeeping function that grows alongside the estate's exciting ambitions. This is a hands-on leadership role. One moment you'll be setting standards and coordinating operations, the next you'll be turning around a cottage, preparing for VIP arrivals or adding those thoughtful finishing touches that turn a stay into a lasting memory. Key skills and experience required: · Housekeeping experience in luxury hospitality, boutique hotels, country houses or premium private residences · Leads by example and inspires high standards in others · Has an exceptional eye for presentation and detail · Thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment · Takes pride in delivering experiences that exceed expectations · Enjoys being part of a close-knit, ambitious team committed to excellence · Full UK driving licence Please note: Eden Scott have been retained for this project.
