A well-established and highly respected financial planning firm in Manchester is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Paraplanner to support senior Financial Planners with the delivery of complex, high-value advice. This is a client-facing, technically focused role where you will work closely with Financial Planners on sophisticated planning strategies, manage a high-value client bank, and play a key role in mentoring junior team members.
The Role Will Involve:
- Attending client meetings alongside Financial Planners and producing detailed, accurate meeting notes.
- Supporting the delivery of complex financial planning strategies and solutions for clients with substantial assets.
- Working collaboratively with senior Financial Planners to analyse client circumstances and help design and implement tailored financial strategies.
- Preparing high-quality suitability, investment strategy and recommendation reports in line with regulatory standards.
- Carrying out detailed research and analysis of appropriate products, services and solutions.
- Completing portfolio and ongoing client reviews, ensuring client files remain up to date and compliant.
- Overseeing the timely implementation of agreed recommendations.
- Acting as a technical point of reference within the team, supporting and mentoring junior paraplanners and providing exam support where required.
- Using a range of planning and research systems, including cashflow modelling tools, analytics software and wrap platforms.
- Keeping up to date with regulatory, compliance and industry developments, working in line with Consumer Duty requirements.
About You:
You will hold the CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent) and ideally be working towards, or already hold, the Level 6 Advanced Diploma. You will have at least 5 years’ experience within financial planning or paraplanning and be comfortable working at a senior level with complex cases and high-value clients. This opportunity would suit a confident, technically strong paraplanner looking for a senior role within a collaborative, high-quality planning environment, offering long-term progression and influence within the business.
