A well-established and fast-growing financial planning firm is looking to appoint a Diploma-qualified Paraplanner to join its national paraplanning team. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career within a supportive, professional environment that values high-quality advice and long-term development. Reporting to the National Head of Paraplanning, you’ll play a key role in supporting advisers and ensuring clients receive clear, compliant and well-structured financial planning advice.
The Role
As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with Financial Advisers to support the full advice process, from analysis and research through to report production. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting detailed financial analysis to support financial planning recommendations
- Gathering and organising client financial information
- Using financial planning software to model scenarios and projections
- Preparing and reviewing suitability reports and investment proposals
- Researching financial products and investment solutions
- Supporting advisers with bespoke financial strategies
- Ensuring all work meets FCA and internal compliance standards
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
- Keeping up to date with regulatory changes, market trends and best practice
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with FCA requirements
- Record all correspondence accurately
- Support the complaints handling process where required
- Commit to ongoing CPD and professional development
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- CII Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent) – essential
- Desire to work towards Chartered status (fully supported)
Knowledge & Experience
- Good knowledge of investments, pensions, personal tax, estate planning and protection
- Ability to carry out basic tax calculations
- Experience supporting the delivery of regulated financial advice
- Confident working within defined processes while contributing to service improvements
Systems & IT
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using Genovo and/or Intelliflo Office
- Comfortable working with financial planning and back-office systems
Personal Skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Professional, ethical and client-focused
- Collaborative team player with a flexible approach
