An established, Chartered, independent wealth management firm with a strong client base of legal professionals is entering an exciting phase of growth and restructure and is now looking to hire an experienced Paraplanner to join its technical team.
This hire comes at a key point for the business, with the paraplanning and administration functions being reshaped to create clearer career paths, stronger technical support, and more engaging paraplanning roles.
You will be joining a paraplanning team working on a pooled basis rather than pods, meaning exposure to a wide variety of clients and cases rather than being tied to a single adviser. There is strong leadership in place, and a genuine commitment to developing the paraplanning function long-term. Progression is available into Senior Paraplanner or Adviser in the future.
Role Responsibilities:- Producing high-quality suitability reports for adviser sign-off
- Interpreting client data gathered by advisers and translating it into robust financial planning solutions
- Conducting whole-of-market research across pensions, investments, and tax planning
- Carrying out cashflow modelling and complex calculations
- Supporting advisers and senior paraplanners on a range of client cases
- Contributing to wider technical and research projects within the business
- Maintaining strong compliance standards and accurate client records
- Building close working relationships with advisers and the wider technical team
- Minimum 1 year's Paraplanning experience within an IFA / wealth management firm
- Diploma qualified with a clear interest in progressing to Chartered
- Solid experience producing written financial advice and suitability reports
- Whole-of-market research experience
- Strong understanding of compliance and advice processes
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple cases
- Experience with systems such as Voyant, CashCalc, FE Analytics, Xplan, and Excel is advantageous
- Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Hybrid working: After a 3-month probation, minimum 3 days per week in the office
