The role will have a strong focus on both new business and relationship development, working with new and prospective clients from initial contact through to becoming established long-term clients.
The Role
- Develop and manage new and prospective client relationships
- Generate and convert new business opportunities
- Meet clients, assess needs and establish financial objectives
- Deliver high-quality, compliant, tailored financial advice
- Prepare, present and implement recommendations
- Advise across financial planning solutions, particularly GPP
- Work closely with paraplanning and support teams to deliver a smooth client journey
- Build and develop long-term client relationships
- Ensure FCA and internal compliance requirements are met
- Keep up to date with product, legislative and regulatory changes
- Support the continued growth of the practice
The Person
- Experience in financial advice, ideally within an IFA
- Strong technical knowledge of financial planning and investment products
- Experience with new business and prospective clients
- Strong relationship-building and business development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of FCA and regulatory requirements
- Organised, professional and commercially aware
- Client-focused with a commitment to quality advice
- Proactive and able to work effectively within a close-knit team
