A highly regarded independent wealth management firm is seeking an ambitious Paraplanner who is looking to take the next step towards becoming a Financial Adviser. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing advisory business that already has an established client bank and is actively looking to develop its next generation of advisers. You’ll work closely with experienced advisers, receive mentoring and support, and follow a structured pathway into a client-facing advisory role.
Whether you’re already Diploma qualified or nearing completion of Level 4, this role offers the chance to transition from technical paraplanning into advice while being supported by a collaborative and experienced team.
The Opportunity
The business has an existing client portfolio that requires additional servicing capacity, creating an excellent platform for someone looking to make the move into financial advice. Initially, you will work within a paraplanning capacity, supporting advisers with research, report writing and financial planning recommendations. As your knowledge, qualifications and confidence develop, you’ll have the opportunity to shadow experienced advisers, attend meetings and begin building your own advisory responsibilities. This is an ideal role for a career-minded paraplanner who wants a genuine route into advice rather than remaining in a purely technical position long term.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting advisers with research and suitability report preparation
- Conducting pension, investment and financial planning research
- Assisting with cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis
- Preparing recommendations and client review documentation
- Attending client meetings alongside experienced advisers
- Developing advisory and relationship management skills
- Building knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning
- Working towards a transition into a client-facing adviser role

- Strong technical financial planning knowledge
- Experience producing suitability reports and conducting research
- A genuine ambition to become a Financial Adviser
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- The desire to be part of a close-knit and collaborative team
Experience with systems such as Intelligent Office (IO), FE Analytics, CashCalc and major investment platforms would be advantageous.

- Clearly defined route into financial advice
- Mentoring from experienced advisers
- Opportunity to work with an established client bank
- Funded professional qualifications, exam fees and study materials
- Hybrid working after successful completion of the initial six-month onboarding period
