This is not a purely specialist role. While the team regularly advises on matters involving IP, data protection, and reputation management, the position sits firmly within the broader commercial litigation group. The successful candidate will act as a flexible resource across multiple litigation partners, supporting on a diverse range of disputes rather than focusing on a single niche area.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead complex High Court litigation from initial strategy through to trial, including handling urgent applications such as injunctions and summary judgment.
- Draft high-quality pleadings, witness statements, and detailed legal analyses across a range of disputes, including commercial, contentious tax, and regulatory matters.
- Advise on issues spanning copyright, data protection, defamation, privacy, and breach of confidence.
- Support on international arbitration matters and cross-border disputes.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, delivering clear, strategic, and commercially focused advice.
- 3–5 years’ experience within a leading law firm.
- Strong background in commercial litigation, with exposure to contentious tax and complex regulatory disputes.
