An ambitious and fast-growing consultancy is looking for a Legal Counsel (Employment) to join its Legal & Compliance team. This is a high-impact role offering the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders, influence business decisions, and shape employment practices in a dynamic, evolving environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide clear, pragmatic advice on a wide range of UK employment law matters, including contracts, terminations, discrimination, and employee relations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements, and restrictive covenants.
  • Partner closely with HR and leadership on disciplinary processes, grievances, and workplace investigations.
  • Support the development and implementation of employment policies and compliance frameworks.
  • Manage legal risk and ensure adherence to UK employment legislation, including data protection and equality laws.
  • Assist with employment disputes and litigation, liaising with external counsel where required.
  • Deliver training and guidance to stakeholders, keeping the business up to date with legal and regulatory developments.

  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ experience specialising in UK employment law.
  • Strong technical expertise combined with a commercial, solution-focused mindset.
