A well‑established London law firm is seeking a Court of Protection Paralegal to join their specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven CoP experience who wants to build their expertise within a supportive, high‑performing department.
The Role
Working closely with partners, solicitors and fellow paralegals, you will support vulnerable clients and help manage their financial and personal affairs. Responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative and legal support across a busy Court of Protection caseload
- Assisting with supervised legal advice and taking notes in client meetings
- Visiting clients in hospitals, care homes and private residences
- Managing client finances, including making payments, maintaining accurate schedules, forecasting spend and preparing budgets
- Daily communication with clients and their representatives, adapting to individual lifestyle needs
- Handling confidential correspondence with clients, solicitors and third parties
- Drafting clear, plain‑English documents including letters, witness statements and court applications
- Supporting multiple fee‑earners and delegating tasks where appropriate
- Maintaining high standards of client care and compliance
- Continuing to develop legal knowledge and professional skills

- Court of Protection experience is essential
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise under pressure

Qualifications
