A leading global commodities trading business is seeking an experienced Senior Commodity Analyst to join its Back Office Settlement Team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast‐paced, international environment supporting Front Office trading desks across London, Singapore, and New York.
We are looking for someone with strong Back Office operations experience, deep knowledge of base metals and precious metals, and a solid understanding of international settlements and payments.

Responsibilities

Managing trade reconciliation from recaps and broker statements

Handling daily and monthly cash settlements and reconciliation

Matching confirmations and reviewing daily margin reports

Acting as a key contact for Precious, Base, and Energy products across Front Office and internal teams

Liaising with traders, finance, and external clients to resolve queries efficiently

Reviewing and improving operational processes

Supporting project work and driving operational improvements

Providing cross‐team cover and ensuring smooth daily operations

Qualifications

Strong Back Office experience within commodities

Solid knowledge of base metals and precious metals markets

Understanding of international settlements, payments, and multi‐currency processes

Ability to analyse complex data and support risk‐related reporting

Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising at all levels

Highly organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure to daily deadlines

Strong problem‐solving mindset with the ability to suggest and implement improvements

Experience managing or contributing to operational projects

Experience Required

Several years\’ experience in commodity markets

Strong product knowledge across precious metals, base metals, and energy

Proven Back Office/operations background within a trading environment
