We are supporting a well-regarded commercial property business with the appointment of a Head of Property Management Accounts to lead and develop their finance function. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of both team management and day-to-day delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a structured, well-run finance function, with a focus on accuracy, control and continuous improvement. The role will suit someone who enjoys working closely with the detail, while also leading and developing a team within a fast-paced environment.
The role:
- Leading and managing the Property Management Accounts team
- Implementing clear processes, controls and ways of working
- Managing month-end processes and improving reporting frameworks
- Overseeing a portfolio of commercial properties, including service charge accounts and reconciliations
- Monitoring rent collection, arrears and financial reporting
- Driving improvements in systems, processes and data accuracy
- Working closely with operational teams to support business performance
- Building strong internal relationships and improving cross-team collaboration
The candidate:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
- Strong commercial property management accounting experience (essential)
- Experience managing a team, with a hands-on and delivery-focused approach
- Comfortable working in a detail-oriented role alongside leading a function
- Highly organised, structured and able to bring clarity to processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
