Eden Recruitment is partnering with a leading global financial services firm to appoint an experienced Executive Assistant Manager to lead and develop its Executive Assistant function.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who understands the demands of supporting senior executives and has the experience, judgement and confidence to lead a team delivering support at the highest level.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will take ownership of the day-to-day effectiveness of the EA function, with a particular focus on people leadership, performance, team development and ensuring the right structures and processes are in place to support a busy, international business.
We are looking for an established EA Manager who genuinely enjoys leading people, can build credibility at all levels and knows how to balance the needs of senior stakeholders with the development and wellbeing of their team.
The Role
- Lead, manage and develop a team of Executive Assistants, creating an environment where individuals feel supported, challenged and empowered to perform at their best.
- Take responsibility for the overall effectiveness and quality of executive support, ensuring the function consistently meets the needs of the business.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for EA-related matters and ensuring expectations are managed effectively.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, appraisals and ongoing professional development across the team.
- Review team structures, workloads and resource allocation, ensuring appropriate coverage and identifying opportunities to strengthen the function.
- Introduce improvements to processes, systems and ways of working, encouraging greater consistency, efficiency and collaboration.
- Provide guidance on complex or sensitive situations, using sound judgement to resolve challenges and support both the team and senior stakeholders.
- Champion the EA function internally, recognising the value of exceptional executive support and contributing to its continued development.
About You
- An established EA Manager or administrative leader with a proven track record of managing and developing Executive Assistant teams.
- A strong foundation in executive support, with a clear understanding of the standards, discretion and responsiveness expected when supporting senior leadership.
- Experience gained within financial services, professional services or another complex, international corporate environment.
- A confident and credible people manager who can navigate different personalities, manage performance and have constructive conversations when needed.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, building relationships and influencing decisions.
- Commercially aware, highly organised and able to balance competing priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working and implement change.
- A collaborative, approachable leadership style, combined with the ability to make decisions and take ownership.
The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to take a leading role in an established Executive Assistant function within a global financial services business.
With significant people management responsibility and regular interaction with senior stakeholders, it will suit someone who enjoys developing teams, raising standards and making a tangible difference to how executive support is delivered.
