A prestigious global insurance firm headquartered in the City of London is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Role Overview

The Executive Assistant to the CFO will be responsible for delivering first-class administrative and strategic support, ensuring the smooth operation of executive-level functions. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role requires excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diary Management – Oversee scheduling and prioritisation of CFO’s commitments, coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Board Support – Organising Board meetings, preparing documentation, and ensuring timely distribution of papers.
  • Travel Arrangements – Managing complex international travel, including visas, itineraries, and logistical planning.
  • Stakeholder Management – Acting as the CFO’s primary liaison, maintaining relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Communication Management – Handling correspondence, screening calls, and drafting high-level communications.
  • Project Coordination – Supporting finance-related initiatives and administrative projects as needed.
  • Confidentiality & Compliance – Managing sensitive information with professionalism, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

Candidate Requirements

  • Industry Experience: Must have Insurance or Financial Services experience in an Executive Assistant role at Board level.
  • Organisational Excellence: Ability to manage complex schedules, anticipate needs, and resolve scheduling conflicts proactively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of drafting and presenting professional correspondence.
  • Tech Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant tools.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick thinker with a proactive approach to addressing issues and streamlining processes.
  • Professionalism & Discretion: Proven ability to handle highly confidential information with integrity and judgment.
