Court of Protection Solicitor (2–4 PQE)

My client is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor (2–4 PQE) to join their specialist team in London. This is a brilliant opportunity to work on complex, meaningful cases involving vulnerable individuals, many of whom have high‑value personal injury or clinical negligence backgrounds.
You’ll be working closely with families, carers, local authorities and healthcare professionals, ensuring decisions are made in the client’s best interests.
Key Responsibilities
• Advising clients, families and carers on mental capacity and Court of Protection processes
• Preparing applications for deputyships, statutory wills and complex financial/health decisions
• Acting as a professional deputy or supporting lay deputies
• Managing Property & Affairs Deputyships, including work with brain‑injured and vulnerable clients
• Drafting Personal Injury Trusts, Statutory Wills and related applications
• Handling disputes around capacity, deputyship and health/welfare decisions
• Preparing and reviewing LPAs and advising on registration
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, social services and external stakeholders
• Ensuring full compliance with SRA and regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For
• 2–4 years PQE
• Panel work experience is essential
• Strong background in complex Court of Protection matters
• Excellent analytical, financial and drafting skills
• Confident managing sensitive issues with empathy and professionalism
• Proactive approach to development and networking
